ACE association memberships

ACE members are a member of FIDIC

FIDIC, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (the acronym stands for the French  version of the name) represents the engineering industry and promotes the business interests of firms supplying technology based intellectual services for the built and natural environment.

Founded in 1913, FIDIC membership today numbers 75 Member Associations representing some 1 million professionals. ACE is the second largest FIDIC member association. Full details of national associations are in the FIDIC Directory. They are also listed under Regions.

FIDIC Membership

ACE members are automatically a member of FIDIC via ACE's FIDIC membership. Individuals do not belong to FIDIC, except as national Associate Members in countries that do not have a national Member Association.

Companies and organizations belonging to FIDIC national Member Associations may announce themselves as FIDIC members, and use the FIDIC logo. Download to read about the benefits of FIDIC membership.

FIDIC Executive Committee

Gregs Thomopulos,Chairman and CEO of Stanley Consultants, Inc.,USA is the current FIDIC President. Geoff French, URS Scott Wilson and Past ACE chairman is a member of the FIDIC Executive Committee. He is currently the FIDIC vice president and will be elected FIDIC president at the FIDIC 2011 Tunis Conference this September. UK will hold the FIDIC Presidency for a tenure of two years between 2011-2013. ACE and FIDIC both founded in 1913 will be celebrating their centenary in 2013.
